This website collects only the information you voluntarily submit through the contact form or private advance-reader program.

Public contact form

Name, email address, inquiry type, message, IP address, and basic browser information may be stored in the site's private MariaDB database so inquiries can be reviewed and answered.

Private advance readers

The private reader stores the reader name, optional email address, reading progress, chapter ratings, passage comments, final-book feedback, and may retain the most recent access IP and basic browser information for reader identification, operation, and security. This information is used only to operate the advance-reader program and evaluate the manuscript and reader experience.

Visitor analytics

This site uses first-party, self-hosted analytics to understand site usage, reader engagement, and site security. It records a pseudonymous visitor identifier, pages viewed, referring domain, broad device/browser/operating-system information, language, approximate country when supplied by the hosting/CDN layer, campaign parameters, screen/viewport size, visit time, engaged time, scroll depth, and selected site events such as reader-access requests and feedback submissions.

When enabled by the site administrator, analytics also temporarily records the visitor IP address and whether the connection reached the site directly or through Cloudflare. Raw analytics IP addresses are retained for a limited period configured by the administrator (90 days by default), after which the raw address is removed. A keyed one-way hash may remain so repeat network activity can be grouped without retaining the original address. Contact-form and access-request records may separately retain the IP associated with the submitted form for administrative and security purposes.

Analytics data is stored in the site's private MariaDB database and is not sent to Google Analytics or another third-party analytics service.

Traffic quality and security telemetry

To distinguish ordinary browsing from automated crawlers, spam, failed authentication, scanning, and common exploit probes, the site may record request metadata including IP address or keyed IP hash, request path, HTTP method and status, user agent, approximate country, Cloudflare Ray ID and bot signals when supplied, and a locally generated traffic classification and risk score. Request bodies and passwords are not stored in this security log. Sensitive-looking query parameters such as passwords, tokens, access codes, and API keys are redacted before storage.

Security-event retention is controlled by the site administrator and defaults to 180 days. Automated classifications are used as operational indicators and are not treated as proof that a request was made by a person, a particular organization, or a malicious actor.

Sharing

Reader and contact data is not sold. Information may be disclosed only when required by law or necessary to operate and secure the site.
